International Women's day!

07 March 2020 was a very special day for us at JOSHSHE, we had our first(technically second, but that's a story for another day) fashion shoot for “My Curve is Beautiful” collection” and we cannot wait for you to see our campaign coming up very soon.

What made the day so special was the coming together of 5 beautiful Queens (referring to them as models is a huge undervalue) who had never met each other before, from different walks of life, different ethnicities, different life experiences, different body types, but all that did not matter at all.

Anyone looking in would have thought these beautiful Queens had known each other for a long time and were friends, but the beautiful truth is that, they only met each other for the first time yesterday.

During the shoot, they were supportive to each other, friendly, loving, in fact the whole day was filled with lots of talk, laughter, dancing and they looked happy like they were having fun and they certainly looked absolutely beautiful in their portrayal of our collection.

Our goal for the fashion shoot was not only to showcase our collection, but also to provide an opportunity where these beautiful Queens would not be judged negatively for what they looked like, but instead for them to feel comfortable, relaxed and beautiful and we feel we achieved just that.

We were so much in awe of them and indeed honoured that these beautiful Queens agreed and took part in our campaign with so much enthusiasm, love and let us not forget professionalism.

We dedicate this post to the beautiful Queens that graced us with their presence yesterday and also to all the women out there who have been through a lot of negativity and felt judged by what they looked like. We want you to know that your are beautiful, loved and Queens!

So on this International Women’s day, let us come together, be kind to each other, support each other, show love to each other, laugh and celebrate each other and never forget to EMBRACE your curves!
